Old fashioned rivalry pranks seem to be the things you hear folk stories about. Well it seems like four football players from Robert Vela wanted to bring the tradition back, but went a little too far. A good prank is funny, well thought out, but most importantly, legal. Vandalism is not legal, and that is exactly what these players did.

According to KRGV.com Channel 5 News, graffiti was discovered earlier this week at Edinburg High’s practice fields, and a dead bobcat was found on campus.

The players were identified from surveillance video, and Edinburg CISD Police Chief Rick Perez said they will be charged with graffiti. The charges are considered state felony charges since they were done at a school. Edinburg CISD is also preparing arrest warrants to bring them in.

The school has suspended all four boys for 30 days starting yesterday.
