The Houston Cougars added another big recruit over the weekend: Rockdale product Davion Ford.

Ford had offers from North Texas and Tulsa, and committed to the Coogs after an official visit this weekend. Ford led Rockdale to an 11-2 season. The Tigers’ only losses came at the hands of Taylor and Malakoff.
Not many people picked Rockdale to win their district, as it also contained powerhouses Cameron Yoe and Franklin. The Tigers beat Cameron Yoe soundly, dropping a staggering 80 points on the Yoemen. Their victory over Franklin came with a much closer final score, the Tigers prevailed 27-21. Rockdale came out of nowhere this year, and it’s largely due to the contributions of Houston’s newest running back.
