LEE Key Players and Storylines

However, new head coach Eddie Veyran believes this group is ready to turn a page in 2026. Veyran will bring plenty of structure to the program. He served in the Navy for six years and was most recently the offensive coordinator at San Antonio Cole, which is located on an active military base.
The Volunteers may not have a ton of depth with just 17 returning lettermen, but they do have half their starters back from 2025. Their foundation will begin in the trenches with the likes of 5’10”, 260-pound center Joaquin Castellano and 6’2″, 285-pound tackle Evan Hackett. At the skill positions, receiver Fabian Martinez (261 receiving yards) will be the Volunteers’ most explosive player offensively.
Scrimmage 1 in the 📚. I’m proud of the @LEEVolsFootball effort and excitement! Hats off to the Jefferson Mustangs, they have a heck of a program. 🤝#GoVols #GRIT #HabitsReflectTheMission pic.twitter.com/B5ZCZhD8zC

On the other side of the ball, the Volunteers may only have three starters back, but that includes two of their biggest leaders. Defensive back Elijah Ramirez (53 tackles, 13 TFLs) is a playmaker all over the field, while linebacker Sebastian Martinez (47 tackles) will captain the defense in the heart of the field. Up front, explosive defensive lineman Jamie Robinson (19 tackles, 8.5 TFLs) will look to create problems with his quickness off the ball.
Veyran has been working with his players on developing a 1-0 mentality where they attack each and every day. He’ll hope that determination and the organization he’s ready to instill will help LEE become more competitive in District 28-6A.
