Stevens Key Players and Storylines
Only a tiebreaker denied Stevens its first playoff berth since 2020 a year ago. However, the Falcons still have a lot of ground to make up after all four of their district losses in 2025 came by 32 or more points.
Heading into this fall, the Falcons do have a large senior class to lean on. They did graduate both of their quarterbacks who took snaps last year along with their leading rusher. Fullback Treyvonne Batts is back to grind out yards in Stevens’ triple option offense, while running back/receiver Morgan Sanchez brings the speed to the ground game. Senior tackle Edgar Valdez will be tasked with leading the push in the trenches.
Defensively, defensive tackle/defensive end Kaleb Ned is a menace in the trenches. He was a second team all-district selection last year and has multiple offers from Division I programs.

Despite Stevens’ large senior class, there’s not a ton of experience on the roster with just four starters back on each side of the ball. Head coach Anthony Boykin will need those veteran players to settle in quickly as the Falcons look to go one spot better this year and make it back to the postseason.
