Shadow Creek Starts Fast, Beats Summer Creek 24-14

Shadow Creek opened the 2026 season with a solid 24-14 win over Humble Summer Creek, and the Sharks wasted no time grabbing control. Shadow Creek put up 21 points in the first quarter, setting the tone early against a Summer Creek team coming off another strong season.

Summer Creek settled down after the rough start and made the game more competitive after halftime. The Bulldogs found the end zone once in the third quarter and again in the fourth, trimming the gap and giving themselves a chance to make things interesting late.

Shadow Creek never gave up the lead, though. The Sharks added a fourth-quarter field goal and did enough defensively to keep Summer Creek from completing the comeback, finishing off a 10-point season-opening victory.

Shadow Creek moves to 1-0 and now turns its attention to Ridge Point, which opened the year with a 29-26 win over Dickinson. Summer Creek falls to 0-1 and will look to bounce back against Strake Jesuit, which is coming off a 36-3 loss to Cypress Falls.
