Matt Rhule and the Baylor Bears have been absolutely killing it on the recruiting trail lately. The latest commit they landed is Kalon Barnes, a three star speedster out of Silsbee.
Barnes held offers from nearly every single team in the country, including Georgia, Arizona, and Kansas State. The soon-to-be senior was a first team all district selection in 2016, and helped lead Silsbee to a 6-5 season. The Tigers met Carthage in the first round of the playoffs, who they only lost to by four points.
The future is bright for Baylor if their recruiting classes hold together. They’re beginning to piece very good pieces of the puzzle together, and will likely be a strong Big 12 contender for years to come.
