One of the best safeties in the Class of 2018 has decided to stay close to home. South Grand Prairie safety Atanza Vongor announced his commitment to the TCU Horned Frogs on Twitter on Saturday.
The four-star recruit chose TCU over his other top two other choices in Baylor and Texas. Vongor was named a first team all-district selection from District 7-6A last season. He and teammate Jeffrey Okudah were a top force in the secondary for the Warriors in 2016. With Okudah now at Ohio State, Vongor now has the opportunity to be the leader in a talented secondary.
Vongor becomes the fourth commit in the Class of 2018 for TCU and joins his teammate Esteban Avila as the latest Horned Frogs commit. Avila announced his commitment back on March 7.
