Summer Creek powered through Kingwood with a commanding 42-14 victory, pushing their record to 8-1 and positioning themselves for a share of the district title. Quarterback Blake Thomas led the charge, throwing for 255 yards and four touchdowns while also adding 30 rushing yards. His connection with standout receiver Benny Easter Jr. proved lethal, as Easter racked up 120 receiving yards and two touchdowns.

The Bulldogs’ defense showcased their dominance, forcing two crucial interceptions by Chad Woodfork and Brandon Jones. Jashaud Johnson made his mark defensively, tallying nine tackles, including a sack and two tackles for loss, keeping Kingwood’s offense at bay throughout the night.

With this win, Summer Creek extended its winning streak to eight games, maintaining its momentum as it heads into a high-stakes matchup against North Shore next Friday. North Shore, undefeated in district play, will look to claim the outright district title, but Summer Creek aims to secure a share.

For Kingwood, now 5-4, this game marked their final regular season matchup. Summer Creek’s upcoming clash against North Shore promises to be a fierce battle as they fight for the district crown.
