Summer Creek vs Hightower: Epic Houston Showdown
The Texas High School Football playoffs are nearing their conclusion. There will be a huge game in the Houston area: the Summer Creek Bulldogs vs. the Hightower Hurricanes. These are two of the best teams in Houston, and it will be interesting because Summer Creek is a defensive team, and Hightower is an offensive team.
Summer Creek Bulldogs
Summer Creek has always been an aggressive team. Every game they have played was competitive; they always had a chance of winning until the clock reached zero. This is a result of their tenacious and aggressive defense. Their main contributors are free safety #3 Brandon Jones, #6 linebacker Xavier Atkins, one of the best defensive players in the state, and #24 outside linebacker Jaylen Carter. They’re all hard hitters and skilled at reading the opposing offense, knowing which side they’ll move the ball.
Hightower Hurricanes
Hightower this season has a really strong offense. They have a triple threat: quarterback #1 Joseph Stewart, wide receiver #4 Zion Kearney, and running back #6 Jeremy Payne. Joseph is a mobile quarterback; he can make perfect dime passes on the balls of his feet. His main target, wide receiver Zion, is insanely fast; it is difficult to cover him. No one can keep up with him in a long run. Finally, running back Jeremy is an explosive runner and is an expert at squeezing out of tackles.
Summer Creek and Hightower have each lost one game this season, and both teams are top 10 in the Houston area. The results of this game could go either way. Whoever buckles under the pressure first loses. I’m interested in seeing who wants it more!
