Ore City ISD officially appointed Tatum’s offensive coordinator, Jeremy Kubiak, as the new athletic director and head football coach.

Kubiak replaces Kyle Adams, who, after leading the Rebels to the playoffs in his only season, left to coach the neighboring Union Grove Lions. He will be looking to lead the Lions to their first above .500 season since 2018.

A Granbury native, Kubiak brings extensive experience from his 14 years in East Texas, including two state championships as part of the coaching staff at Waskom. He also served in coaching roles at Bloomington, Copperas Cove, Texarkana Pleasant Grove, and Granbury.

Kubiak will take over an Ore City Rebels program that had its best year in a long time, going 5-5 in 2023 after having gone 5-24 from 2000-2022.
