Just a little more than a week after coming back from a one-game suspension, Jaelen Strong’s days in a Houston Texans uniform are over, as he was released by the team on Monday. The move was first reported by Adam Schefter and the team confirmed the move Monday afternoon.

The third-year wide receiver from Arizona State did not record a catch in his lone game of the 2017 season with the team. Strong was suspended for the season opener for an arrest in Arizona back in 2016. In 19 career games, Strong recorded 28 catches for 292 yards and three touchdowns.
The move comes as a small surprise as the Texans only have three active wide receivers in DeAndre Hopkins, Braxton Miller and Andy Jones.
In a statement, Strong told Mark Berman of Fox 26 in Houston that he was thankful for the Texans for the opportunity.
