After last years bashing the Texans took with injuries, they got some relief and good news that can set them up for a great season.
JJ Watt, Deshaun Watson, DeAndre Hopkins are all cleared for the season. After rehabbing from some major injuries the all clear for these players means Texans fans will all be looking forward to the celebratory embraces between Deshaun and DeAndre.
Being injured is never good for a player, it’s made even worse when the media starts calling you old and questioning how many more years you will be playing.
“This latest comeback finds Watt at a career crossroads. At age 29, Watt’s best football is realistically behind him. That doesn’t mean that Watt can’t overcome the odds and regain his old form. ” Aaron Wilson, Houston Chronicle
Add a little salt to the wound please… Maybe it will just light a fire instead!
With the bad comes the good, like Good Morning Football host Kyle Brandt’s rant “The Texans are loaded and healthy“, meaning the Texans have a legitimate shot at Super Bowel LIII.
Although the media can get in your head, Watt doesn’t seem like one to care too much about the press, but would rather let his actions do the talking. As you can see from his twitter response to ESPN reporter Adam Schefter’s tweet that Chris Mortenson said “Watt crushed his conditioning and was ready to play a full season. ”
SportsLine’s No. 1 NFL expert, R.J. White, has released his top value picks for Super Bowl 53
White has analyzed the latest Super Bowl 53 odds and identified major errors from Vegas oddsmakers. He knows several teams’ odds are WAY off.
White wants no part of the Texans, who are listed at 16-1 and will have Deshaun Watson and J.J. Watt back on the field in 2018.
“This is a team with a lot of holes on both sides of the ball,” White told SportsLine. “The defense gave up the most points in the league last year, and it’ll take a lot more than better health to turn this into a championship-level unit.”
Regardless of what the media is saying—having Watson, Hopkins and Watt back on the field this season should mean an outstanding season for the Texans. We are officially on the Texans bandwagon in 2018 and expect them to make a run at the BIG Show in February.
