Texas City’s D’Onta Foreman An Absolute Unit In Carolina Panthers Victory
To the joy of fantasy owners everywhere, former Texas City standout D’Onta Foreman shined on Thursday Night Football, rushing for 130 yards in the Carolina Panthers victory over the Atlanta Falcons.
A two-way player with the Stingarees, Foreman competed as both running back and defensive end, rushing for 4,382 yards with 61 touchdowns — including 2,102 yards and 31 scores in his senior campaign alone.
After graduation, Foreman joined the Burnt Orange, creating a legacy for himself at Darrell K. Royal field. in his junior season, he accounted for 2,000 yards and became the first consensus All-American back at UT since Ricky Williams. The same season, he finished second in the nation in rushing and broke Earl Campbell’s 100-yard rushing streak in 13 consecutive games.
This season, the 26-year-old already has more touchdowns than in any of his first four years; his 130 yards on Thursday matched his best rushing mark for a season.
Our team has been following Foreman for a long time, including our coverage of the running back at the NFL Combine six years ago.
