Texas high school football is once again proving its national power. In the latest “Way-Too-Early” Top 25 rankings from On3, 11 teams from the Lone Star State earned spots on the list, including five in the top 10.

Duncanville leads the Texas contingent at No. 2 overall. The Panthers finished 13-1 last season and return several key starters. Just behind them is DeSoto at No. 3, a program with a championship pedigree and strong returning talent. North Crowley, fresh off a 16-0 run and a 6A Division I title, is ranked No. 4 nationally, solidifying its place among the elite.

North Shore comes in at No. 6 after a 14-2 season and another deep playoff run. The perennial powerhouse has one of the state’s most experienced rosters and remains a title contender. Rounding out the top 10 is Guyer at No. 10, with the Wildcats expected to rebound strongly in 2025 behind a fast-paced offense and physical defense.

Also included in the national top 25 are other Texas powerhouses: Atascocita (No. 13), Aledo (No. 15), Allen (No. 17), Southlake Carroll (No. 18), Shadow Creek (No. 19), and Willis (No. 22). Each of these programs has a strong tradition of postseason success and high-level talent returning.

Texas’ presence on the list reflects the state’s unmatched depth of competition. From defending champions to emerging contenders, the Lone Star State continues to shape the national high school football conversation.
