Texas High School Football Star Receiver Dies from Gunshot

Tragic news out of Stemmons Corridor, Dallas.  17 year-old Tony Evans Jr. was fatally shot early Sunday morning.   

Evans Jr. was considered a “3-Star Recruit,” from Lancaster High School.  He had committed to play college football for Wyoming.  He had thirteen catches in the shortened 2020 season, for 268 yards and four touchdowns.

He was shot, along with another person, at 1:30am inside a room at the Hawthorn Suites hotel. Evans Jr. died at the hospital.  The other victim is currently in stable condition.
