Week five of the Texas high school football season has arrived, and with it comes the last weekend of September. It’s getting dark early at the football games, but the teams sure are shining bright on the field, and the excitement in the stadium is increasing each week!
This week, host Taylor Arenz speaks with three players who made significant impacts in Week four.
First up is LBJ Austin quarterback Ali Scott. His team had to go to overtime to secure their win over Dallas Parish after a back-and-forth battle all night long! Ali shares his thoughts on this hard-fought victory and the big overtime play that clinched the win. You will enjoy getting to know Ali.
Next, Taylor interviews Robinson football running back Evan Moreno about their impressive upset win on the road against Glen Rose. Evan explains how he knew they could win and the grit it took from him and the Rockets to achieve that victory.
The final interview of the week features Frenship quarterback Holden Phillips. Holden had a standout game in Week four, racking up 459 yards and five touchdowns. This thrilling performance will be a memorable moment for him as a senior, but as you will hear, he plans to create many more memories with their strong Frenship Tigers team this season!
