The Texas HS Football podcast second episode is now available. On this week’s episode, we are joined by both Ryan Tannehill and Patrick Maomes’ high school coaches. We got what it was like to coach each player.
Tannehill’s coach, Tim Holt, led Tannehill when he played for the Big Spring Steers. Tannehill has always been a “late bloomer” when it comes to football. Coach Holt talks about coaching Ryan and being impressed how he could dominate any sport he picked up; and, how he was an excellent tennis player.
Coach Adam Cook, now currently Whitehouse ISD Athletic Director, had the Kansas City Chiefs dynamic quarterback running that Wildcats offense during the early parts of the 2010’s. We talked about how Coach Cook could see that no matter what was happening during a play, Patrick was always looking downfield for an open receiver.
