In the days of the high flying and throwing the ball all over the field offenses that we are in one constant remains the same, the Katy Tigers run game and another great running back. Deondrick Glass is leading the Katy Tigers toward another deep playoff run with hopes of heading to the title game again.
According to Chron.com Glass had 669 yards and 12 touchdowns in the month of October. Glass rarely played in the second half of games in the month of October, and only had one carry all of the last game in the month. Just think about if Glass were to play a full game these stats would basically be doubled. On the season Glass 1,843 and 30 touchdowns on just 157 carries.
Deondrick Glass is only a sophomore, but he already has offers from a team in every Power 5 conference. This kid has the chance to be something really special and this past month is just a sample of what he can do. The season didn’t start out the way the Tigers would’ve liked, but Glass has been great all year, and was exceptional in the month of October. That’s why he is our XENITH Offensive Player of the Month.
