Tragedy at THSCA Convention: Coach Killed

Tragic news from the THSCA Coaches School and Convention in San Antonio.

Ayden Rose Burt, a Jasper High School track & field and volleyball coach, was killed while at an evening social event with fellow coaches Monday night at Smoke Skybar. 

Burt was sitting on the rooftop patio with her back to Interstate 37 when a bullet struck her in the back. She was transported to the hospital but died from her injuries. She was 28 years old.

The police are still investigating the shooting and where the bullet came from; no suspect(s) have been ide at the time of this post.
