Tuesday morning, the UIL committee met to hear the appeals of six schools attempting to change their realignments. South San Antonio was added on Monday as a late UIL realignment appeal requesting to move from 27-6A to 28-6A.
After meeting Tuesday, all of the UIL realignment appeals for high school football were denied. Lake Worth, Pottsboro, Shepherd, Navarro and Wimberley will remain in the districts they were placed in earlier in February.
The UIL committee heard a total of 11 appeals for district reclassification and realignment. The sports ranged across the board. The only appeal granted was Sagniaw’s basketball and volleyball request to move from 5A-6 to 5A-7.
