There was a chance players could participate in spring practices that occur prior to the end of the month, but this decision prevents any possibility of players returning to the field — or court or track or pool or anything else — until March 30 at the earliest.
Should spring football be canceled altogether, the UIL states football workouts would resume on Aug. 3 and teams would be able to add an additional scrimmage.
