There’s something special about coming home, and Valley View ISD is buzzing as Coach Amos Davidson returns to take the reins as Athletic Director and Head Football Coach.
With 16 years of coaching and teaching experience under his belt, Davidson isn’t just any hire, and he’s a Valley View native who grew up around the program. “This job is personal,” he said, and it shows. He knows the fieldhouse, the traditions, the expectations, and the pride that comes with wearing Eagle green.
Valley View is hoping this homecoming marks the start of a turnaround. The Eagles are coming off a tough 1-9 season and haven’t posted a winning record since 2019. But if anyone can bring new life to the team, it’s a coach who’s lived and breathed it.
Davidson inherits a program with a rich history, including a 1980 state title, and he’s determined to build on the foundation laid by those before him.
Welcome back, Coach Davidson.
