Vandegrift vs Manor Quick Game Recap

Round Rock Hail Roof Inspection

On Friday night, the Manor Mustangs traveled to Vandegrift in hopes of pulling off an upset against the Vandegrift Vipers.

The Vipers were looking to continue their dominance, as Quarterback Deuce Adams threw for 217 yards on 14 of 19 passes and 5 touchdowns.  Adams connected with receiver Eli Adams, who racked up 86 yards on 4 catches and reached the endzone 3 times.  Miles Coleman also found himself in the endzone, as he recorded 57 yards on 4 catches. Brendan Fournier only caught 1 pass for 8 yards, but that lone catch was enough to get him in the endzone.

The Vipers didn’t have much success on the ground game Friday night, as running back Zaid Oliver rushed for 36 yards on 10 touches, never finding the endzone. The Vipers’ defense, however, did play strong, as they held Manor to 6 points, making it a long and difficult night for the Mustangs.

The Mustangs’ offense tried getting their team on the board, but it wasn’t until the 4th quarter when Jayson Zardvets connected with Rashad Grey, resulting in Manor’s only score of the night.

Manor fell to Vandegrift 51-6 .

Manor will continue district play next week as they take on Round Rock at home.  Vandegrift will continue district play against McNeil.
