The AFC South leading Houston Texans will look to gain further ground in the division tonight as they take on the Denver Broncos who look to reverse their fortune following two straight losses.
At 4-2, it’s a bit odd to say that they are struggling, but that’s what has led to their last two losses, especially the offensive struggles. In their last three matchups Denver has only averaged 12 points with the lack of a formidable running game seemingly being the main proponent in the offensive mishaps. Trevor Siemian will be returning following a shoulder injury withholding him from playing last game and will look to return to the form he was when he played against Cincinnati and Tampa Bay.
Denver on defense is still elite but has been without DeMarcus Ware since Sept. 18 when he fractured his forearm and will continue to be without him tonight. Ware, who has been as productive as ever at this stage in his career, has been a force on the outside for the Denver linebackers and has been the prefect compliment to another linebacker on the Broncos you might have heard of.
The former DeSoto Eagle, Texas A&M All-American, and Super Bowl 50 MVP Von Miller still strikes fear into the hearts of his opponents. Arguably the best defensive player in the league, Miller has continued to play at a ridiculous level for the team that leads the NFL in sacks. On the season he has accumulated 7.5 sacks and credited with 26 combined tackles.
Miller would love nothing more than to get his hands on his former teammate and perhaps the same could be said for the rest of Miller’s teammates as they look to make Brock Osweiler’s homecoming a bit of a nightmare.
Kick-off is scheduled at 7:30 tonight in Sports Authority Field.
