Tyler John Tyler – Longview

This is a classic matchup, one that feels like it would’ve been the DQ Big Game of the Week in 2003. John Tyler is a very physical team, and they’ll have to lay the wood to prevent Longview from marching up and down the field on them. The Lobos can score, but no one seems to know how good they actually are.

Sonora – Reagan County

Just how good is Reagan County? They’re undefeated, but a win against traditional power Sonora would vault them into an entire new level of respect. They’re far from one of those schools that you always see at the top of 3A rankings, but all that could change if the Owls just continue to win games.

Stratford – Klein Collins

Stratford brings a solid defense in to try and stop the juggernaut Klein Collins offense, but the Tigers are looking to blow them out like they’ve done to so many other teams. Stratford is a strong program, but they might not be able to hang with the speed we’ll see from Collins for very long.

Sachse – Rowlett

In another undefeated matchup in 6A, ex Sachse quarterback Preston Weeks looks to lead Rowlett to victory over his former team. The focus of the game is on the offense of Sachse, but don’t be fooled by Rowlett. They’re a tough team with plenty of firepower themselves, and definitely won’t lay down for Sachse.

DeSoto – Duncanville

The last team truly capable of upsetting the mighty DeSoto Eagles is the next one up on the list. The Panthers have a strong defense and a solid offense, and are ready to go to war against a stupidly talented DeSoto squad. Duncanville has some talent of their own, so expect more than emotions to fly in this heated district rivalry.
