Week 1 Fan Vote Player of the Week: Collin Brooks

Collin Brooks accounted for nine touchdowns to earn Texas HS Football Week 1 Player of the Week honors after leading Maypearl to a thriller over Fairfield.

Collin Brooks of Maypearl has been voted the Texas HS Football Week One Fan Vote Player of the Week after a monster season-opening performance.

The 2027 athlete accounted for nine touchdowns in Maypearl’s 61-56 win over Fairfield. Brooks rushed for 250 yards and six scores, threw for 226 yards and three touchdowns, and capped the night with the game-winning touchdown in the final minute.

Brooks also helped Maypearl earn our Week One 3A Team of the Week honor.

Rounding out the top five in the fan vote were Jaxon Franco of Midland Christian, Colton Johnson of Blanco, Zion Harness of Lake Belton, and Shaun Aguirre of Pasadena.
