Wylie East RB Eno Benjamin Leads Arizona Cardinals Ground Game
Arizona Cardinals running back Eno Benjamin was a fantasy savior for many in last TNF’s victory. His explosiveness has been honed since starting with the Wylie East Raiders years prior. During his high school career, Benjamin rushed for 7,546 yards and 111 touchdowns.
“I’ve been familiar with Eno since high school growing up in Texas,” fellow Texas Hs Football alumni and Cards quarterback Kyler Murray said.
“He’s been a great football player ever since I can remember.”
Benjamin first gained interest in the Texas Class 5A Division II Region II area round football playoffs, when Wylie East bested The Colony 56-28. In the contest, the team attempted zero passes, and had a jaw-dropping 551 yards on the ground.
Throughout his high school career, Benjamin was honored as a two-time AP All-State 5A selection, including being named Offensive Player of the Year as a senior. Additionally, he was selected as an 2017 U.S. Army All-American.
Benjamin will continue getting the starting nod; Arizona is currently 3-1 this season when he rushes for over 30 yards.
