XFL shuts its doors with no intentions of returning

And it’s over…again.

The XFL’s attempt to revive the league came to an official end Friday as its doors were closed for business, and this time, it is probably for good.

Breaking: The XFL suspended operations Friday morning and laid off nearly all of its staff, multiple sources told @SeifertESPN and @FieldYates.

According to ESPN, a prominent former XFL staffer stated, “It’s done. It’s not coming back.”

The league had two teams in Texas — the Dallas Renegades and the Houston Roughnecks.
