SMU QB Matt Davis Declares For NFL Draft

You wouldn’t think that we still had guys declaring for the NFL Draft, especially so late in the offseason, but SMU’s Matt Davis has declared only weeks before SMU’s pro day.

The timetable on this is definitely strange, it’s not every day that you see a guy declare for the NFL draft so late in the offseason. However, Matt Davis is an excellent quarterback with at least a solid arm. There’s still some doubts about his draft status and where he could end up going though, and this late decision has almost certainly set him back.
