The NFL will hold the 2022 NFL Pro Bowl Sunday, February 6th and 11 former Texas high school football players have been selected to participate in the game, which will be held at Allegiant Stadium in Las Vegas, NV. That number could grow with players from teams who make the Super Bowl having to opt-out, with injuries, and with players missing due to COVID.

There were two “snubs” of former Texas high school Quarterbacks. Matthew from Highland Park. The 2014 Pro Bowler was an early-season MVP candidate, and after a mid-season slump, is 4th in the NFL and 2nd in the NFC in both passing yards and touchdowns.
Then, Derek Carr, a 3-time Pro Bowler, who played at Clements before moving his senior season to California, is third in the NFL in both yards and touchdowns. If the selection was made at the end of the season instead of 50-75% through the season, both would likely have been selected. Both could still be named to the team.
