Prosper Key Players and Storyline

Prosper took a heavy punch from graduation with five players now on Power Four rosters and a couple more playing at the Division I level.

This will be the type of season that tests a program’s culture as Prosper looks to prove it can reload without rebuilding.

Just six starters return from last season’s group. 6’3”, 275-pound tackle Will Endicott is arguably the most important of those returners. A South Carolina commit, he will be the cornerstone of the offense. The Eagles will have a brand new starter at quarterback, but that new gunslinger will have some help at the skill positions.

Running back Hudson Bowman (338 rushing yards and six touchdowns) is ready to be the bell cow with his physical running style, while Elliott Brown (775 receiving yards and eight touchdowns) is a “do-it-all tight end” that can unlock the offense with his diverse skill set.

Defensively, the Eagles are going to have plenty of speed. That starts at the second level where three-year starter Fahd Allan and Chris Hatch, who is returning from injury, are ready to race off the edge from their outside linebacker positions. Cornerback Kyree Pettis (28 tackles, one INT) will anchor the pass coverage. He has the confidence and length at  6’0” and 180 pounds that will allow him to match up against some of the top receivers in the district.

Head coach Tyler Moore realizes with so much turnover that things likely won’t go perfect in August or September. He’s tasked his guys with improving week in and week out as they look to grow into a squad that can push for a fifth Thanksgiving practice in six years.
