Richardson Berkner Rams 2026 Season Preview
Richardson Berkner Rams
Head Coach: Trey Bryant (6th season; 27-27 record)

Returning Lettermen: 27 (8 returning starters on offense; 10 on defense)
Berkner Key Players and Storylines
Last season, Berkner broke through with its first playoff win in 19 seasons. This year? The Rams believe they have even more left in the tank.
It’s a highly experienced group with 18 returning starters and several players who can contribute on both sides of the ball. That includes receiver/defensive back Korde Foreman (134 receiving yards; 14 tackles, one INT), who is the best athlete on the entire team in the eyes of head coach Trey Bryant. He’ll team up with fellow Division I prospect Kamarri Davis (514 receiving yards and three touchdowns) to provide two explosive options for junior quarterback Dontrell Coleman, who is stepping into the starting role this year.

When the Rams need to run the ball, Monta Nelson (487 rushing yards and four touchdowns) knows how to churn out the short yardage. He’ll have 6’1”, 200-pound junior tight end Chris Miheaye, another Division I prospect, helping pave the way for him up front.
Defensively, cornerback Mehki Jessie (42 tackles) has great length at 6’1” and is Berkner’s best defender. In front of him, Kaden Carter (60 tackles, 18 TFLs) had a tremendous freshman season as a run stopper in the trenches, while tenacious linebacker Jaden Jones (40 tackles, four TFLs) will be a force in the middle of the field.
The talent at Berkner runs deep this season. If the Rams can stay consistent, Bryant believes they have what it takes to compete for their first district title in 21 years and earn the right to still be practicing on Thanksgiving Day.
