Keller Fossil Ridge wideout Stefan Cobbs Jr. might have made the play of the year in Week One. The play starts at 0:38 of the video.

Cobbs went behind the back of the Arlington Lamar defender to snag the pass from quarterback Chance Fuller, who threw for 309 yards in his own right. The catch has been seen before, most recently from Stanford, and most famously from Alabama’s Tyrone Prothro.

Fossil Ridge ended up winning the game 41-31, and with their schedule, they might need a few more miracle catches from Cobbs. This was a great introduction to Cobbs, and I have no doubt that more than a few coaches will be sending him letters if he keeps this pace up.

The Panthers will take on Flower Mound in Week Two, and look to keep their momentum rolling after a big win in Week One. The Vikings will take on Jeffery Okudah and South Grand Prairie next weekend.
