Alvarado off the potency of their ground attack beat Carrollton Ranchview 56-17 on their Homecoming night and district opener.

Alvarado dominated the game from the first possession of the game when running back Chance Temple scampered to the end zone from 75 yards out to put Alvarado on the board first and give a precursor of the night that was to come for the Indians.

Carrollton Ranchview would respond on the ensuing drive with a 39-yard field goal by Jason Parker to have a 7-3 deficit in the first quarter with 8:09 remaining. Unfortunately for the Wolves that would be the closest the game would be for them as Alvarado was just beginning. The Wolves would not score again till late in the fourth quarter.

Alvarado would score two more times before the end of the first quarter on runs of 22 and 76 yards from Alonzo Shaw and Blake Henderson respectively. Quarterback Brayden Ramsey would get in the ground game action when he scored on a 70-yard run and a 46-yard run to bring the score to 42-3 at the half.

The Indians rushed for 555 yards as a team with Blake Henderson leading the way with 183 rushing yards and two touchdowns. Alonzo Shaw had 120 yards and two touchdowns with quarterback Brayden Ramsey chipping in 133 yards and two scores as well.
