Region I

Arlington Bowie – I

Duncanville – III

Advantage: Duncanville, three votes to one

Reasoning: Duncanville is in arguably the toughest district in the state. They had Cedar Hill beat until a 4th quarter collapse doomed them

San Angelo Central – III

Allen – I

Advantage: San Angelo Cental, three votes to one

Reasoning: Allen doesn’t look like the dominant team they have been. San Angelo Central led by Cal Vincent is a legit threat to end Allen’s season. Also, Allen has to drive all the way to San Angelo for this game.

Region II

Coppell – III

Round Rock – I

Advantage: Coppell, three votes to none

Reasoning: Coppell got blown out in back to back games early in the season, but have been rolling since. The Cowboys are the hot team right now.

The Woodlands – III

Austin Bowie – I

Advantage: The Woodlands, three votes to one

Reasoning: The Woodlands may be the best Houston area team, but luckily for them they aren’t in the Houston region. The Woodlands dominated Katy in week two and haven’t let up this whole season.

Region III

Katy – III

North Shore – I

Advantage: Katy, three votes to one

Reasoning: These two teams won the two 6A titles last season, so after this week there will be a new champion. Katy and North Shore have had epic battles in recent years and this shouldn’t be any different. Katy has played better teams this season, and the defense has gotten better.

Houston Lamar – I

Atascocita – III

Advantage: Atascocita, three votes to one

Reasoning: These two teams couldn’t be more evenly match on paper. Atascocita has scored three more points this season and allowed three less. That is the only difference in these teams after 12 games. Atascocita wins..barely.

Region IIII

Lake Travis – IIII

Los Fresnos – 0

Advantage: Lake Travis, four votes to none

Reasoning: Lake Travis has been hot all year after barely losing their season opener to Judson. The Cavs are just better than Los Fresnos

Austin Westlake – III

Laredo United – I

Advantage: Austin Westlake, three votes to one

Reasoning: United got one vote due to the fact Westlake could’ve lost last week and Sam Ehlinger’s health could be in question
