Note: this is not encompassing all of the Texans in college football. This is merely the best performances from the Texas colleges.
1. KD Cannon – WR – Baylor
Cannon was completely dominant against Boise State, accounting for 226 yards and 2 touchdowns. It wasn’t just that he merely caught the ball, he had some serious highlight reel catches in that game as well. Cannon will head to the NFL after his bowl performance.
2. Alec Morris – QB – UNT
UNT’s comeback against Navy will probably go unnoticed by most in the national landscape. Morris’s performance shouldn’t go unmentioned, even in a loss. The senior threw for 304 yards and 3 TDs, and nearly lead his team back from a seemingly insurmountable deficit.
3. Josh Reynolds – WR – A&M
A&M lost against a disciplined K-State team, but we shouldn’t hold that against Reynolds. It looked like A&M was in control at one point, then it slowly got away from them. Reynolds was never outmatched, he had 154 yards receiving and 2 TDs in the Aggies’ loss.
