A Cedar Hill explosion and the DeSoto wall.
For DeSoto, we’ll see how well their stellar offensive line holds up against nationwide competition. Guards Edward Ingram and Xavier Newman will anchor Team Highlight with their massive frames. Cedar Hill weapons Avery Davis and Camron Buckley will attempt to provide Team Armour with some incredible plays down the stretch as they head to Notre Dame and A&M, respectively.
Can K’Lavon Chaisson rush against the best while still lean?
Chaisson, a DE out of North Shore, is an outstanding pass rusher. The only issue is that he’s a lean guy, a guy who’s going to need to put on some serious muscle to compete at the next level. Tomorrow, we’ll see how much. Chaisson has everything you want out of an elite DE… except that thickness that you need to set the edge in the run game.
Anthony Hines is likely going to blow someone up.
Anthony Hines III has had a seriously dominant season. His insane numbers are only enhanced by the number of jaw-dropping plays he makes per game. Even against the best competition, he’s probably going to do something that will make someone’s head rattle.
Jalen Reagor is back in action after a frustrating last four games.
Waxahachie started out 6-0, with a win over eventual state champion Highland Park. They finished 6-4 with four straight losses, a rather depressing ending for a program that had been so good. None of those losses can be pinned on a Jalen Reagor absence. It’s been a while since we’ve seen him in pads, let’s see how well he can adjust to the speed of the game after so much time off.
If you haven’t seen him yet, watch everything Marvin Wilson does.
He’s the #3 ranked player in America for a reason, the dude can ball. He’s a force up front at his DT position, and can definitely push the pocket in pass rush as well as hold his own in the run game. Wherever Wilson is on the field, he’s must-watch.
