Samaje Perine, formerly of Pflugerville Hendrickson, is your new career rushing leader at Oklahoma.
He passed colossal names such as Billy Sims last night and in the Sooners’ 35-19 Sugar Bowl win over Auburn and Adrian Peterson in OU’s 2016 season.
Congrats to a true sooner @Samaj32 with hustle and heart. #BOOMER #theNewRbU #SugarBowl2017

Perine has not decided whether he will return to Oklahoma for his senior year.
He was springboarded to this feat by a colossal Bedlam game in which he amassed 239 yards on 37 carries. Perine also holds the single-game rushing crown for a 427 yard performance against the Kansas Jayhawks in 2014, his freshman year.
If Perine returns, he will again share the backfield with Joe Mixon and Baker Mayfield, who have both elected to stay at Oklahoma as well.
