TJ McAloon Show – EP 8 – Hunter Cooke

The T.J. McAloon Show podcast returns after a week off due to the holidays. But, let’s be honest, everyone was off all of last week because of Christmas and New Year’s Eve/Day. So, while I apologize for not cranking out a new podcast episode. I will say that if there was one recorded, it would have been myself and my two-year old Kennedy talking about Apple Sauce and how great of a movie Storks was.

Which leads me into this weeks episode with Hunter Cooke of Texas HS Football. Hunter and I went on a wide array of topics and really defined the term “free flowing conversation”. We started out discussing movies from 2016. Like our disappointment for what could have been in Batman vs. Superman. And, how Rouge One was just a cash grab for the Star Wars franchise while we wait for Episode VIII.

Then, we moved over some NFL Playoffs talk about how Brock Oswiler is ruining the bottom line of two billion dollar franchises: The Houston Texans and ESPN. There’s a J.J. Watt hypothetical trade in this episode that will make you either agree with us; or want to throw your listening device through a wall in disgust.

Your choice, but, moving the Texans superstar is the right move if this team wants to advance past the Wild Card or Divisional Round in the AFC.

Lastly, we finish off with the idea that the NFL Draft should be abolished. Instead, there should be the college version of National Signing Day. Here, the best players who have finished their college careers have the chance to announce where they will be playing their professional football at.
