Ohio State continues to add talent from the Lone Star State to its recruiting class.
Per ESPN’s Gerry Hamilton, Blinn College cornerback Kendall Sheffield committed to Ohio State over Texas A&M on Tuesday. The Fort Bend Marshall standout is considered to be one of the top junior college recruits in the country.
Sheffield originally signed with Alabama in 2015. After redshirting, Sheffield transferred to Blinn College where he played this past season.
Sheffield is the fourth Texas high school football recruit in Ohio State’s recruiting class of 2017. His commitment comes just days after South Grand Prairie safety Jeffrey Okudah committed at the U.S. Army All-American Game.
Kennedale linebacker Baron Browning and La Grange running back J.K. Dobbins are also part of this class and both of them have enrolled early at Ohio State.
