Well, Texas Tech and Texas are in today’s weird news headlines…for being compared to Vladimir Putin and Hillary Clinton.
FBI Director Comey is a @TexasTech fan…let's see if we can't get some intel on @OU_Football's offense next year, eh? pic.twitter.com/0DGICg4FIT

Also, Putin was Texas Tech and Hillary Clinton was Texas, FWIW.

It’s not entirely a random comparison, the man asking Comey the question is Republican U.S. Rep. Mike Conaway, who represents parts of West Texas.
During the hearings, Comey confirmed that the FBI is looking into allegations of collusion between Trump and Russia.
While that tidbit of information is good, the comparison is a little bit strange, and no one really knows what to make of it. Luckily, the official Texas Tech Football Twitter account was at the ready with some light Longhorn ribbing to ease the tension and hopefully provide some clarity into what Red Raiders want to see happen on the football field.
Not sure what's going on at the moment, but we want the Red Raiders to win and our opponents to lose… #ComeyHearing #WreckEm pic.twitter.com/ZfsZpYvbTQ
