We all knew that Texas Tech quarterback Patrick Mahomes has a howitzer for an arm. Every single time he gets worked out, scouts rave about his arm strength, and sideline reporters tell stories of 60 yard passes from his knees that seem more like hallucinations than fact. Any question about Patrick Mahomes’s arm strength should be silenced after this throw, though.

That is an obnoxiously long throw, even by the standards of the NFL.
Mahomes has received rave reviews from some scouts who expect him to go early in the first round, but has received some more reserved reviews from those who question his consistency. No matter where he goes, he’s a rare talent, and he certainly breaks the Air Raid system quarterback mold in more ways than one.
