The Houston Cougars racked up another commitment yesterday, this one from John Tyler’s Dekalen Goodson.

Goodson is the fourth recruit in Houston’s class of 2018. Last year, he earned first team all-district honors at defensive end, his second year in a row to do so.
John Tyler went 11-2 in 2016, only losing by a single point to Rockwall before their season ended in a third round bout with Klein Collins. The Lions beat several very impressive teams over the course of the season, including Lufkin, Longview, and Ennis. If the Lions can replace excellent quarterback Bryson Smith, they should be staring at a very solid season.
