The Army Black Knights have a new defensive tackle out of Texas – CC Calallen’s Kenese Leomiti.

Leomiti, a senior-to-be, helped guide Calallen to one of its best seasons of all time in 2016. The Wildcats went 14-2, and arguably had one of the best playoff runs of the season, with big wins over Boerne-Champion and Victoria East, a very close win over College Station, and a hard fought loss to Aledo in the title game, a game that most didn’t think they could win.

Calallen will have to rebuild most of that team that went to the title, but there are some serious pieces that still remain with head coach Phil Danaher and Leomiti. Brandon Broughton will return on that defensive edge, and bruising running back A.J. Brown, and defensive back Philip Lively. The Wildcats will miss several who just graduated, but should be just fine heading into the 2017 season.
