In the wake of Friday’s news that Texas Longhorns wide receiver Damion Miller will not be joining Tom Herman’s program this fall, it was announced on Saturday that the John Tyler High School product will begin his college career at Navarro College.
Congratulations to @DamionjMiller he will be attending #Navarrocollege this fall.

The hope that Miller would ultimately arrive on the Forty Acres continued to wane as the offseason dragged on. Academics proved to be an issue and thus, Miller will take his talents to the JUCO level for the foreseeable future.
A four-star wide receiver, Miller was the first pledge of what was then Charlie Strong’s 2017 class, as he committed during the summer of 2015.
A legitimate deep threat, Miller has the kind of talent and upside to become a multi-year contributor at the Power 5 level, although that may not have happened in Austin this coming season, in any case.
Texas’ wide receiving corps is currently its deepest and most talented group and the ‘Horns already have elite prospects such as Brennan Eagles, Al’Vonte Woodard and Rondale Moore coming in as part of a star-studded 2018 class. Whether or not Miller is able to end up boasting burnt orange at some point in the future remains to be seen, but his immediate future will consist of featuring his pass-catching prowess at Navarro College.
Miller was ranked as the nation’s No. 151 player, No. 25 wide receiver and the No. 24 player in Texas, per 247Sports Composite.
