The Cleveland Browns learned on Tuesday they will be without one of their key playmakers on special teams for the 2017 season. Per Browns.com reporter Patrick Maks, head coach Hue Jackson said that linebacker Tank Carder will be out for the season due to an ACL injury.
Veteran LB Tank Carder will miss the season with ACL injury, Hue Jackson says. Carder was captain in 2016.

The former TCU and Sweeny star was injured during the first quarter of Monday night’s preseason game against the New York Giants. After being primarily a special teams player since entering the league, Carder was competing with Joe Schobert for the starting middle linebacker job according to Pro Football Talk.
Carder was drafted in the fifth round by the Buffalo Bills back in 2012 but was among the final roster cuts before the season. He was picked up by the Cleveland Browns shortly after and has remained with the team since. The MVP from the 2011 Rose Bowl has amassed 53 total tackles in his NFL career.
