Texas offensive lineman Connor Williams will not be suiting up for the Longhorns for a while. Per a release from the school, the All-American offensive lineman suffered a sprain of the MCL and PCL in his left knee as well as meniscus tear in his left knee and will require surgery.

Williams injured his knee in the second quarter of Saturday’s game at USC and did not return. At 6’5″ and 315 pounds, the former Coppell star entered his junior season as one of the most highly regarded draft-eligible offensive line draft prospects.

Per the school, no timetable has been set for his return and will be evaluated again after the surgery, which is expected to take place in the next 7 to 10 days.
Texas has a bye this coming week and will play again on September 28 at Iowa State.
