One of the most electric playmakers for the Texas Tech offense this season is turning pro. On Sunday, wide receiver Keke Coutee announced via social media that he was entering the 2018 NFL Draft.

Coutee had a chance to fully shine as the top target for the Red Raiders this season and he took full advantage of that opportunity. The junior finished 2017 on a high note on Saturday, catching 11 passes for 187 yards and a touchdown against South Florida in the Birmingham Bowl.

It capped off a season that saw the former Lufkin star catch 93 passes for 1,429 yards and 10 touchdowns. He ends his time in Lubbock with the second-most receiving yards in a single season in school history.

Head coach Kliff Kingsbury will now be charged with finding his replacement on offense. However, he did get good news when linebacker Dakota Allen announced on Saturday

that he would be returning for his senior season.
