Jaden Greathouse Interview With Taylor Arenz
The Westlake Chaparrals won their third straight UIL State Championship. They beat the Denton Guyer Wildcats, 40-21, to win the 6A DII State title and send Head Coach Todd Dodge off into retirement with another title. (CLICK HERE to see photos of the game from Stan Martin)
The big-name going into the game was Cade Klubnik. And, while Klubnik led his team back in the second half to claim his third title and second straight as a starting QB, it was Jaden Greathouse whose star shined the brightest. Greathouse finished with 236 yards receiving and 3 touchdowns. He twice caught long touchdowns to give Westlake the lead and caught a third to clinch the victory. His 236 yards was a UIL State Championship game record.
Jaden Greathouse (Austin Westlake) earned Championship Game Offensive MVP with 3 receiving TDs and an all-time State record 236 receiving yards.
