For the first time since 1973, Duncanville and Lancaster met on the gridiron for a district game.
The Panthers continued their undefeated streak, defeating the Tigers 41-7 for their first contest in 51 years at Panthers Stadium.
Duncanville is now alone in first place in 11-6A and is setting its sights on its third consecutive Class 6A Division I state title.
Despite the victory, Lancaster still holds a 15-9-4 lead in the series, dating back to 1939.
After taking a 14-0 lead in the first quarter, Lancaster found the board on a 46-yard, six-play scoring drive, concluding on a two-yard run by Izayah Lee. The drive was the sole points for the Tigers in the contest; Duncanville took hold of the game by intermission, taking a 28-7 lead.
Quarterback Keelon Russell hit receiver Zach Turner at the start of the third quarter with a 17-yard strike. However, in the fourth quarter, Russell left with a bruise on his non-throwing shoulder. The Alabama commit completed 21 of 31 passes for 252 yards and four touchdowns, upping his season touchdown total to 30.
